# Summo > A warm wallet for digital markets. Pay, trade, and earn. Summo is a self-custodial wallet for paying, trading, and earning in digital markets. This file points AI assistants and agents to the pages that best explain what Summo is and how it works. Every URL below is absolute and canonical. Detailed product documentation lives under /docs. ## Key facts - **You hold your own funds.** A Summo account is a smart account secured by three keys, any two of which can move funds. Two of the keys are yours, both derived from your recovery phrase; the third is Summo's policy co-signer, which checks transactions but can never move funds on its own. With your recovery phrase you can always move funds without Summo, and anyone who obtains the phrase could do the same, so it must be kept private. - **One account, every chain.** A single Summo account works across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Robinhood Chain, and Solana, with no separate wallet to manage per network. - **Recovery without giving up custody.** Losing a device does not mean losing your funds: your recovery phrase restores the account at any time. If the written phrase is lost as well, guardians (trusted contacts you choose) can approve restoring the account to your new device; without guardians, the phrase is the only way back. Guardians hold none of your keys, and neither Summo nor a guardian can move your funds on their own. - **Network fees, handled for you.** Pay a network fee in the coin the network uses, in a supported token instead (no native coin required), or with gas credits. Every option and its cost is shown before you confirm, with no monthly or account fee. - **Pay in person, in local currency.** With Summo QR Pay you pay a merchant by scanning their code; the payment settles from your balance and reaches them in their local currency, with no card required. Available today, after a one-time identity verification, across parts of Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. - **Send, trade, and earn in one place.** Send to a Summo username or any supported address, swap assets, trade perpetual futures and prediction markets (sourced from Polymarket), and earn, all from the same self-custodial account. Trading availability varies by country, to comply with applicable laws and regulations. - **Bring your own AI agent.** Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent or any agent that speaks MCP can connect to a Summo account. The agent reads balances, positions and activity and files requests, such as a swap, a perpetual futures order, a send or a payment on Pix or M-Pesa; each request waits in the app until the account holder approves it on their phone. An agent cannot move funds itself. ## Documentation - [Docs overview](https://summo.cash/docs): Start here. Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex and any other MCP client whose OAuth client ID is a client ID metadata document sign in through it; the user scans or types the code you are shown in the Summo app under More, then Connected agents. - [SKILL.md](https://summo.cash/agents/SKILL.md): How to connect, the tools, request statuses, and the rules for acting on a user's account. - OpenClaw, Hermes Agent and other agents that cannot sign in connect with an access code the user gets from Enter sign-in code in the same screen (No sign-in page? Get an access code), sent as `Authorization: Bearer `. - [OpenAPI](https://summo.cash/agents/openapi.json): The same calls as a REST API, for agents that connect with an access code. Any script, crawler or agent that reads this site or calls the Summo API should send a User-Agent naming the tool and a contact for whoever runs it: see [Bots and automated access](https://summo.cash/bots). ## Product - [Home](https://summo.cash/): Overview of what Summo does. - [About](https://summo.cash/about): The story and the people behind Summo. - [Security walkthrough](https://summo.cash/security): A visual walkthrough of how Summo keeps funds safe. - [Download](https://summo.cash/download): Get the app. ## Company - [Media kit](https://summo.cash/media-kit): Brand assets and press resources. - [Privacy policy](https://summo.cash/privacy): How Summo handles data. - [Terms of service](https://summo.cash/terms): The terms that govern use of Summo. - [Bots and automated access](https://summo.cash/bots): How to identify a crawler, script or AI agent, and who to contact.
